Enpulsion agrees to buy Lift Me Off
(SpaceEnergy) Austrian spacecraft propulsion manufacturer Enpulsion has agreed to acquire UK chemical-propulsion specialist Lift Me Off, expanding its portfolio beyond electric propulsion into chemical and hybrid spacecraft mobility systems.
Enpulsion said it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Lift Me Off’s issued share capital from Luxembourg-based LiftOff Space SARL. Completion remains subject to UK government approval under the National Security and Investment Act 2021.
Lift Me Off develops chemical and cold-gas propulsion systems, propellant tanks and pointing mechanisms from its operations at the Harwell Space Cluster. The company has participated in multiple European Space Agency programmes.
The acquisition will add those capabilities to Enpulsion’s existing electric-propulsion portfolio. Enpulsion said the combination is intended to support hybrid configurations using electric and chemical propulsion across different phases of a spacecraft mission.
Enpulsion chief executive Alexander Reissner said Lift Me Off brings complementary chemical-propulsion and tank-system technology as the company develops a modular spacecraft mobility architecture combining propulsion, attitude control and navigation.
Lift Me Off managing director Shaun Dormon said the company expects to continue its existing low Earth orbit and lunar mission programmes while incorporating its technologies into Enpulsion’s wider propulsion architecture.
The companies expect regulatory clearance during the third quarter of 2026.
