Isar Aerospace wins five-launch SEOPS deal

(SpaceEnergy) Isar Aerospace has signed a five-launch agreement with US mission provider SEOPS for dedicated Spectrum missions between 2028 and 2030, taking their contracted total to six launches.

The missions will fly from Isar Aerospace’s launch sites at Andøya Space in Norway and Spaceport Nova Scotia in Canada. The company said the agreement brings its 2028 manifest close to full.

The five flights expand an existing agreement under which SEOPS had previously secured one Spectrum launch. SEOPS plans to use the additional capacity for its Waymaker rideshare programme, which procures dedicated launch missions for satellite operators.

Isar Aerospace said it is scaling production and launch operations following Spectrum’s second flight, Mission Onward and Upward, which reached orbit and deployed all payloads on 5 September.

“Our successful second flight and the deployment of all payloads onboard Mission Onward and Upward into orbit have strengthened demand for our launch vehicle Spectrum,” chief commercial officer Stella Guillen said.

The companies did not disclose the contract value or individual mission dates.
