Satellite supplier GomSpace wins $658,000 D-Orbit power order
(SpaceEnergy) Satellite systems supplier GomSpace has won a SEK6.3 million ($658,000) order to provide spacecraft power systems for D-Orbit's ION Satellite Carrier missions scheduled for 2026-27.
GomSpace said on 1 September that D-Orbit selected its power systems for upcoming space logistics and orbital transportation missions using the ION spacecraft.
The Danish company said the selected systems will be integrated into D-Orbit's platforms to support mission-critical operations across multiple orbital transportation vehicle campaigns.
Under the agreement, GomSpace power systems will support D-Orbit satellites deployed during 2026 and 2027.
GomSpace said the order extends a supply relationship with D-Orbit spanning nearly a decade. The company develops satellite subsystems including power products as well as complete small-satellite platforms.
